Heinrich-Zille-Museum

  Propststraße 11, Mitte ,   Berlin-Mitte          +49 30 24 63 25 00     more than a year ago
Just like its Currywurst sausages, Berlin's turn-of-the-20th-century poor little tenement children were chubby and saucy and no one captured them better than artist Heinrich Zille (1858-1929). In his famous Children of the Street cartoons, kids take care of kids and attempt to make wise observations about the way things are. The small museum features his works and has a nice selection of wares, from calendars to beer coasters, in the gift shop.
