Beer gardens intro

When summer beams down on us, so the beer gardens bloom with the flowers. More important to a Biergarten than room for roses and hedges, is space to lay out rows of picnic tables and benches. A few trees are a plus, but umbrellas are a fine substitute for leafy cover. It’s self-service at these convivial gathering points and Wurst, pretzels and other simple German food are sold as well as several types of beer.
Berlin's beer gardens will emerge from hibernation again around March.
