Berlin is encircled by a motorway that branches off into six Autobahn highways. You don't need a sticker to drive on motorways in Germany. Allow an hour to get from the city ring to your destination. The speed limit on the ring is 100km/hr. Watch out for rude and unforgiving drivers, and take heart in that parking isn’t that difficult in Berlin. All the major car hire companies are present (see Directory), and given the stiff competition, prices are relatively low.
