Need a cab?

Taxi drivers have a fine reputation in Berlin, and not only for the splendid cream-coloured Mercedes they drive. Taxis queue outside S- and U-Bahn stops, and can also be hailed from the street at the same rate. The special €3.50 Kurzstrecke is a set fare for short trips (2km or 5 minutes), and can only be used in hailed cabs and if you mention it as soon as you board. Calling a taxi is an option as well; mention to the operator if you want to pay by credit card, as not all taxis have card-reading equipment. By the way, Funk means radio.
