The store is huge so that you can find everything you are looking for. A friend of mine who is from Berlin gave me the tip to look under www.kaufda.de/Geschaefte/Galeria-Kaufhof to look for the weekly offers they got. Mostly electronics but often enough other specials too. The site is in german but all you need is the price, right?
I just spent 4 interesting days in Berlin and luckily found this great department store, one of the best I have seen. The electronics section is great and the buffet restaurant beats any I have seen in Europe. Had all our meals in this store. Just a great place, staff very helpful.
An eye-popping store - beautiful, spacious, light and airy and the displays drew me into the various sections. I'm not a big shopper, but I could have spent many hours in this store! Employees were very helpful. Euro prices seem to be very reasonable for the local economy - our US dollar exchange rate was not so good at the time (Sept. 2008).
