This place is ugly; it was clearly transformed from German restaurant to African restaurant with the simple placing of an African Queen picture upon the wall. But the staff is great, really friendly and fun, making you feel relaxed and ready to dig in to a shared meal with your hands. The food is excellent, particularly the lentil dishes. Located near Baseler Platz (at the Hauptbahnhof), its main problem is that it’s a bit tricky to find.

  I agree the food is excellent and the place is very friendly. But, I like the sectioned seating and the inside decor! not Ugly at all.
