Set back from the main street in a small two story house, Da Alfonso has the finest Italian cuisine in town. A display case with appetisers, desserts, and fresh fish allows the guest to see what he or she wishes to dig into. The atmosphere and staff are extremely relaxed, whilst maintaining an upscale dining feel. Botticelli and Michaelangelo-inspired paintings dress the walls, and the view from the outdoor terrace is delightful. Alfonso serves regional specialties from the Compane region, and others from north and south Italy, but we found their truffle dishes to be particularly good.
