Arriving by bus

Gelsenkirchen’s main bus station is used by both local and long-distance buses and is located right next door to the Hauptbahnhof. Facilities include a café, press kiosk and the Bogestra ticket and information office (Open 07:00 - 18:30, Sat 07:00 - 15:00. Closed Sun), staffed by pleasant English-speaking ladies. Toilets, ATMs and the access to the U-bahn can be found in the precinct at the bottom of the escalators in the northeast corner of the station. Taxi information is that same as Arriving by train.
