Whatever you do, don’t ask the man in the hut outside for directions. He’s a dummy, and the first of many exhibits this fascinating museum has in store. Split into two main sections the museum focuses on Germany’s modern-day fight against smuggling and counterfeiting as well as offering an insight into the history of German border control. It sounds terrible, but this really is a great museum. Highly recommended.
