Leipzig, the ‘city of short distances’, is a cyclist's dream. It is fifteen kilometres wide and only twelve from north to south, making any point in the city easily reachable. But it contains 141 kilometres of pure pedalling pleasure along paths that mostly run through natural areas such as parks, forests or lakeland areas. Bike rental sources can be found throughout the city, including many hotels, restaurants and bike shops.
