The fact that this ostensibly “premium hostel” describes its location in terms of walking minutes to the Hofbräuhaus (15, probably double that on the way home) speaks volumes about the type of market it’s into. Tucked away in a quietish side street just 80m from the Hauptbahnhof, Jägers has all the typical hostel features (ten-bed dorms) plus a few luxuries like telephone and cable TV (CNN) in single and double rooms. No curfew, no age limit and a full-blown breakfast buffet make Jägers a viable alternative to the Jugendherberge.
