It's the Dixieland jazz bands and grand location high above the river Isar that give this long-standing local favourite that extra bit of flair. The jazz season runs from Easter till the start of the Oktoberfest with bands alternating afternoons and evenings and all weekend. Food here is pricey but then good live music and meat produced to animal-friendly methods is too. Like all traditional beer gardens, this one lets you bring your own picnic.
