One of the best value-for-money eateries outside Munich, it's amazing how much good Italian food Arcobaleno can churn out of its tiny kitchen when local business people pour in at lunchtime. A daily changing menu offers pasta, salad and antipasta to eat in at high tables or take away. The ricotta and vegetable gnocchi coated in fresh tomato cream is sheer bliss and you can spot most of the ingredients at the bistro's great delicatessen counter. Close to the S-Bahn at Karlsfeld, Arcobaleno makes a good stop en route to nearby Dachau.
