The raw diamond amongst Munich’s traditional restaurants, Isartor serves excellent Bavarian food including its own speciality 'meat pan' with mushrooms cooked in cream sauce. The chef claims to make the best blueberry pancakes in Munich and the Austrian Kaiserschmarrn (sugared strips of pancake with raisins) served with stewed apple is certainly some of the best this side of the Alps.
