Essential Munich

Munich has an amazing range of sights, and it's hard to make a choice of what to see if you're only in town for a short time. A stroll through the centre, visiting Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, the Hofbrauhaus and the Rezidenz Palace. The beautiful Englischer Garten park shouldn't be missed either, and make sure you see the Eisbach surfers in action there. Art fans are spoilt for choice - the best museums in town include the three Pinakothek art museums and the Bavarian National Museum.
