Deutsches Museum

  Museumsinsel 1      +49 89 217 91     more than a year ago
You could spend days wandering around a 16km path spread over six floors in the largest technical museum in the world. The line-up of exhibits features just about everything mankind has ever invented in order to make life easier. Machines and installations from mining to astronomy; from under the earth up to the stars, it's all there. A highlight is the archaeological reconstruction of the Altamira cave with ancient cave paintings. The museum got too big for its britches and it has enlarged to incorporate two separate exhibition spaces; the Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum (transport) and the Flugwerft Schleissheim (airplanes).
