The night of 25,000 blades
Blade Night sounds like it could be fencing or it could refer to the night of the undead, when you can fulfill your vampire slaying fantasies while attempting to be as sexy as Wesley Snipes. Actually, it is rollerblading through the streets without having to worry about pesky cars. You can find roller-blade heaven every Monday night when Munich closes many of its major streets to accommodate up to 25,000 skaters. Five routes cut through the city, all of them beginning and ending on Sophienstrasse, north of Hauptbahnhof. Every Monday night at 19:00 until Aug 30. www.muenchner-blade-night.de
