Alatsi

When famous TV journalist Stavros Theodorakis launched this restaurant, it became an instant hit. Politicians and fellow journalists, among others, throng here to savour the Cretan dishes cooked using fresh produce shipped daily from the island of Crete. Snails, rabbit, and ‘gamopilafo’ (risotto served at Cretan weddings) are among the specialties.

I went to that restaurant hoping to get something matching its reputation. I choose a lamb specialty hoping to get some pieces of nice meat and I was heavily disappointed. The starter was ok but far from exceptional.I received some a mixture of fat meat and parts of broken bones that I had to remove from my mouth while eating.I paid 15.50 euro for this and I think is pretty expensive for what it is.I do not recommend this restaurant taking in consideration the multitude of good restaurants you can have in Athens.
