3 Crown Alley

This has been a favourite spot for college folk since it opened, but it recently received a facelift and it seems it's grown up with its patrons. There's a sleek, yet understated style and the crowd is still fairly varied. Upstairs the main bar hosts contemporary acoustic music 7 days a week, and a DJ Fri - Sat. The basement is designed to hosts intimate gigs, for many up-coming groups in Dublin. And on Sun you can get jiggy (quite literally) with Irish dance lessons. It's also has a traditional food menu, with Fish & Chips as their flagship dish. (There's even talk of opening a chipper (chip shop in Dublinese) in the adjoining building). Yum.
