Ireland has a strong reputation for comedy and Dublin is its stand-up mecca. The International Bar on Wicklow Street is probably the best known venue. It plays host to stand up comedy seven nights a week and the show usually starts at 20:00 - get there nice and early because it fills up fast. Around the corner, Bankers on Trinity Street hosts stand-up on Saturdays and Murphy’s Laughter Lounge just over O’Connell Bridge is Dublin’s only dedicated comedy venue.
