Tax Free Shopping with Global Refund

Visitors from outside the EU can save extra money by shopping Tax Free at over 6000 retailers in Ireland. Look for the logo and follow these notes to get that all important VAT refund, saving you 17.36% of the purchase price less service charge:

1.  Always ask for a Global Refund Tax Free Shopping voucher as you shop in stores throughout Ireland.

2.  Fill in your vouchers in store.

3.  Hand in your vouchers at the Global Refund desk in Dublin or Shannon airport when you're flying home and receive your cash or credit card refund.

Here's what to do if the VAT (Sales Tax) was deducted by the retailer as you shopped:

1.  Return the fully completed Global Refund Tax Free Shopping vouchers either at the Global Refund Desk at the airport as you're leaving or by mail to Global Refund Head Office, Spiddal Ind. Est., Spiddal, Co. Galway.

2.  If you're returning these vouchers by mail you must get each of your Global Refund Tax Free Shopping vouchers stamped at customs on departure or by a customs official, notary public or police officer in your country of residence.

Each voucher over €2000 must be stamped by Customs - situated in the arrivals hall in Shannon and Dublin airport - before you go to the Global Refund Desk for a cash or credit card refund.

IF YOU DO NOT RETURN YOUR TAX FREE SHOPPING VOUCHERS TO GLOBAL REFUND (AT THE AIRPORT OR BY MAIL) WITHIN 60 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE YOU WILL BE RECHARGED THE VAT (SALES TAX).
