Established at his home in 1908 by Patrick (Padraic) Pearse, this former St Enda’s school now houses a museum dedicated to its founder's life. A well-known nationalist and protagonist of the Irish culture and language, Pearse was executed in Kilmainham Gaol for his part in the 1916 Easter Rising. An audio-visual presentation recounts his life, and a Nature Study Centre and self-guided trail fully utilise the museum's pretty parkland setting.
