The leading contemporary dance company Moving Into Dance Mophatong celebrates their 40th anniversary with a season of performances; Equinox 1 and Equinox 2.

From September 15-16, Equinox 1 is a double bill which includes the Johannesburg premiere of The Women Who Fell From The Moon and a return to the stage of Moving Into Dance Mophatong’s 1997 Dance Umbrella festival entry Passage of Rights with music by renowned jazz musician Steve Dyer.

Equinox 2 closes out the anniversary season with a bang from September 20-22 with performances of We Are Still Marching, an iconic work first premiered in 2016 that explores the struggles faced by women in Southern Africa from the apartheid era until the present day, referencing crucial moments like the Women’s March of 1956 and the bus boycott.
