Napoleon's Hill

Piliakalnio     more than a year ago

From this small mound on the road between Aleksotas and Panemunė, Napoleon allegedly watched his vast army of 690,000 troops cross the Nemunas into Russia at the start of his ill-fated attack on Moscow in June 1812. Besides the view, much of which is obscured by trees, there's nothing at all to see or do here, although for fans of infamous military campaigns it's probably worth the muddy scramble to the top.
