Pristina’s accommodation market is small but growing; it offers a limited selection of locally-run hotels with surprisingly small price differences between them. Despite what they may claim, few places rise above three-star standard. Pristina has a reputation for having average, expensive hotels, and does suffer somewhat from an all-expenses-paid-all-choices-made foreigner market, but its reputation is undeserved, but the best hotels are all central and affordable.

Guesthouse Velania Unfortunately this is the only really cheap hotel. It is very low-standard. The bathroom was disappointing, the kitchen was very dirty the night I arrived. The cleaning staff cleans every 2-3 days though. I had to stay there for 7 days. If I had kno[...]
Guesthouse Velania Dreadful. If there is any way you can avoid this place - by all means do so. I paid 17 euros a night for a double room with a private bathroom in the second house, in January 2010. My bathroom was really dirty and the shower head can not be attached to anything. There was hair on my bed. The warm shower water lasted only 5 minutes. There is no ventilation of the rooms and the hotel is not smoke free; everyone smokes inside. There's no wi-fi; only one PC with internet was working. I was the only English speaking person staying there at the moment, and the staff did not speak English either. You have to walk for 15 minutes to the closest bus stop. I am happy that the previous comments are positive and I hope I was the only one who had such a bad experience. [...]
