I stayed again in September. A large extension is almost complete which should substantially increase the number of rooms, but hopefully not spoil the friendly atmosphere. Huge choice for breakfast. NB: Avoid at all costs room 408 which is right next to the noisy motor for the lift and which I stayed in 2 nights. However I was moved when I asked.

I endorse all the above - except the plumbing did not seem to be idiosyncratic. Exceptionally quiet. My single room on the 4th floor was small but had everything I needed. Restaurant is a bit gloomy (and of course people smoke) but you can take your breakfast in to the pleasant garden.Internet is by both cable and wifi and worked well. Laundry returned same day. I suggest avoiding 5th and 6th floors as the lift only goes to the 4th!
