Named after a romantic Albanian-Italian writer, this upmarket restaurant serves up home made pasta, fillet steaks, fresh bread, salads, daily specials and more. With the light music, some poetry and old photos on the walls, it's a decent choice, though the waiters got bad marks from a few PIYP readers recently.

I used to go to De Rada at least once a week with my wife and we'd both have a three course meal with wine. We got so fed up with the smoke that we gave up going. When we complained about the smoking we got the usual Kosovo restaurant answer - "if we enforce the ban all our customers will go somewhere else". Firstly it's the law of Kosovo; you don't get to choose whether to enforce it, and secondly many of your dining customers have now gone somewhere else and instead of a room full of three-course-meal eaters you've now got a room full of €1 macchiato drinkers instead.
The restaurant shows absolutely no respect for non-smokers. It has great potential if only the owners decided to respect the non-smoking laws. As the situation is at the moment whatever food they serve arrives "smoked" at your table.
De Rada is my favourite restaurant in Pristina. I have always found the food really good - a little pricier than other establishments in Pristina but worth it for the quality. They also do some very nice Italian wines although the range has reduced from what it was 6+ months ago. It is a shame that they now appear to be flouting the smoking laws though this is common with almost every restaurant here.
Twice in a row my dinner at De Rada has been spoiled by someone smoking heavily on the next table. Not only is this against the law but ruins any taste that food might have had.
It's always good for a restaurant to have critics, that's the way they can improve their reputation and their service but i must admit De Rada has offered me more than I expected, so well done. The staff was very friendly, good job there.
That`s so true Robert! Anyway, the interior design is OK, the rest not really...
What is the address of De Rada, where it is located in Prishtina or close to what?!
EDITOR: Look again - the address and phone number are mentioned at the top right of this page: Rruga UCK, that's in the centre of Pristina.
The food is great, as is the atmosphere, and although people tell me that the service can be unsatisfactory, I haven't yet experienced it. Last night we also enjoyed a local jazz group, making it an all 'round excellent experience.
De Rada is among the better upmarket places in Pristina. The food is tasty and the menu offers a decent choice. The service is variable, at times great, at times far from good. Atmosphere is very good. While a nice place, the price-quality ratio here is not as good as in some other, similar restaurants.
De Rada is still the one of the best restaurants in Prishtina, the staff is very friendly, the food is perfect!
I don't go there anymore! The thing with booking the tables is true, they don't have any respect for thier guests.
Definitely NOT the best restaurant in Kosovo! It's okay - food average, service at times inattentive, parking difficult, staff smoking on duty.
Be careful, you may book the table and when you get there find that the table is given to others. Waiters don't care to show respect in that regard.
De Rada is the best restaurant in Kosovo!!
