Prizren has a lovely set of cafés on the northern river bank that are open from morning until midnight that function as the foremost meeting place for young locals. These cafés are pleasant for coffee with views of the river by day, and transform into bars after dark and stay lively until closing time around or just after midnight. When the chairs run out, people just stand blocking the street so you'll always literally bump into acquaintances after a few days in town.
The nightlife scene can mainly be found in a warren of small streets and courtyards just west of Sheshi Shadërvan square. Curiously, the crowd is known to move en masse when there's a concert in the bar area, all swarming back to pole position when it ends.
Nightlife generally starts early and generally ends early too, so make the most of it. Note however that getting sloshed is not a way to impress the locals, who usually drink with moderation.
