Absynt

  ul. Miodowa 28 ,   Kazimierz          (+48) 605 24 03 97     more than a year ago
A rather civil and elegant homage to the 'green fairy,' though the only absinthe on sale is of the Polish variety - it won’t make you lop your ear off or see dancing nymphs (you're in the wrong bar for that), but it might make you feel like you parked your head under a tractor tyre overnight. If you haven't had the experience, however, there's certainly some nuanced fun to be had in allowing the friendly staff here to introduce you to the rituals of drinking this legendary anise-flavoured spirit - both the traditional French and sugar burning methods are available. Found on the fringes of Kazimierz this bar comes stacked with samovars, chandeliers, gramophones and even a glass owl, making it every pub kleptomaniac's calling, and overall it's a low key landing place for a quiet, intimate night out.

Really nice bar, with good cocktails and a brilliant selection of hot chocolate. Great place to sit back and chill out.
