This place knows a thing or two about preparing excellent food, certainly more than it knows about spelling ‘Tokyo’. The menu embraces 21 kinds of sushi, in addition to sashimi, tempura and more. Look out for lobster tail with fruit, and note that most dishes are prepared on a large tepanyaki grill in the middle of each table. There's a bar and VIP room too.

My wife and I went to Tokyo on our last night before returning to Australia. Big mistake. Should have been there first and then gone back several times. Dinner at Tokyo was the special evening we wanted and now competes to be our favourite restaurant in Kyiv. The steamed Salmon and Shrimp was melt-in-your-mouth delicious and the grilled Tiger Prawns were great. Our sushi was superb and ranked as some of the best I've had outside of Japan. The service was nearly 5-star and the price per dish was surprisingly low. Try the cherry green tea!! The chef’s skill on the tepanyaki grill preparing our meal was more entertaining than people-watching on Khreschatik on a Saturday night. Tokyo will be top of our list for a restaurant when we come back to Kyiv in future.
