Arriving in Jūrmala
By train The first train service between Riga and Jūrmala started in 1877. Over a century later the electrical commuter train is still slow and takes 40 minutes from the central train station to Majori. Trains leave frequently from platforms 3 and 4.

By minibus Minibuses depart from the Central Minibus Station (opposite the Central Train Station) roughly every 15 minutes from 06:00 - 24:00. Take the Riga - Sloka, Riga - Dubulti or Riga - Jaunķemeri minibus and ask the driver let you out at Majori. The ride takes 30 minutes and costs about 1Ls.

By car Drive along the well-kept 15km long highway from Riga, which is probably the best stretch of highway in Latvia. All motorists have to stop at the control point to pay a 1Ls/day toll. Place the receipt on your dashboard.
