As far as we can tell the aptly named Ginger is Liepāja’s first authentic Asian restaurant. Inside this converted wooden beach cottage you’ll discover a sleek, stylish interior of dark hardwood floors and tables and red and white walls. Even the toilet is decorated with Chinese watercolours, bamboo and burning incense. Belly up to the sushi bar for affordable nigiri, maki and sashimi or choose from a wide selection of Chinese main courses not to mention desserts like fried bananas with ice cream. Tea, wine and Asahi beer are also on offer.
