This landmark brick and timber building dating back to 1773 is now home to one of Liepāja’s best restaurants and although the interior is convincingly 18th-century, the international cuisine and the service is a more modern affair. Order delicious dishes like crayfish dumplings in white wine lemon sauce, duck fillet in armagnac with potato celery mash or just try the catch of the day delivered by local fishermen all served with fresh baked bread. Don’t miss the Old Captain’s homemade ice cream either!
