This beautifully restored 18th-century building is worth a visit even if you’re not hungry. If you do, however, have an appetite for delicious steaks, pasta or traditional Latvian dishes like grey peas and bacon, then dine upstairs or in the cosy cellar and admire the old nautical charts and antique model ships while you drink Latvia’s best beer Užavas on draught. The high prices may take the wind out of your sails, but it could just be a bargain considering the ambience.
