Owned and operated by two gregarious sisters from Riga, the Eel is located in a meticulously renovated 18th-century house a stone’s throw from the market. The international cuisine from the shrimp and avocado salad to the coconut milk steamed mussels is both delicious and affordable. A decent wine selection is also available – a rarity in beer-soaked Liepāja – as well as a summer terrace.
