A short drive south of Liepāja is the Sailor’s Nest – a renovated 130-year-old building only 300m from the sea. Owned and operated by a recently married twenty-something couple, the hotel is a true labour of love. A nautical theme pervades its hallways and rooms include flat screen TVs, phones and custom-made wooden furniture. A bar, sauna and café in the lookout tower are also available.
