Not only can you browse through an impressive collection of handmade ceramics, amber jewellery, leatherwork and woven items in its salon, but you can also watch the craftsmen make these beautiful items upstairs in their studios. A volunteer will take you on free tour of the premises where you can watch women weaving traditional Latvian table clothes, place mats and blankets on wooden looms or a jeweller creating impressive fashion accessories with amber collected on the beach in Liepāja. It’s an especially good excursion for travellers with children.
