Take a tour of the Liepāja harbour and the nearby sea in this wooden replica of a 17th-century ship used by Jacob Kettler to colonise Tobago and parts of Gambia. Although adults have to pay a hefty 9Ls/person, children are let on board for 3.50 - 5Ls. In the summer the Libava sets sail every Saturday and Sunday at 13:00 and 16:00 unless the weather turns sour but groups of ten or more can rent the vessel for 90Ls/hour during the week if you arrange things ahead of time. You can also pay a symbolic fee of 0.50Ls to board the Libava and have a look around.
