Oscar Wilde’s classic commentary on Victorian society could easily apply to Latvia’s duplicitous ruling elite, but in general most locals are quite open about their boozing, vanity and debauchery. This cosy bar on a forgotten Old Riga street has certainly spent some time and effort on
its appearance – a mix of medieval walls and modern furniture – and its small menu of salads, pastas, veggie dishes and mains is worth a try, but most people probably come to enjoy a coffee, tea or cocktail in peace.
