Skiing in Latvia

Latvia is a topographically challenged land that seldom attracts enthusiasts of alpine endeavours like skiing. However, it usually has an excellent climate for snow making. Although the nation’s highest peak rises only to a less than majestic 311.6m above sea level, there are still plenty of places where one can enjoy a quick downhill run. Equipment rental is readily available at most resorts, though it might be slim pickings if you arrive late. Check snow conditions of individual hills on their websites.
