Legend has it that a medieval warrior named Kristaps travelled all over the continent and even the Holy Land returning to Riga with trophies and riches, not to mention recipes, which are now used in this restaurant, his former house. This modern fable serves as the backdrop for this huge monument to kitsch offering king-sized portions of Latvian, Russian, European and Caucasian cuisine. Patrons can also watch sports on the big screen TV in the ‘medieval’ cellar or smoke a hookah in the ‘middle east’ room. Order the trout and you can watch them catch it in the pond downstairs.
