Housed in an historic building on a quiet Old Riga side street, the Red Nose Hostel has nothing to do with old rummies or gin blossoms, but rather derives its name from the unique paintings of clowns that grace one wall of each of its eight rooms. Doubles and dorms all feature pinewood floors, a sink and reading lamps next to the beds. A modern, clean toilet and shower is available on each of the hostel’s three floors and a kitchenette, lockers and free wi-fi are also on offer but a towel will cost you extra so you might want to bring your own. Top-floor rooms offer great views of St. John’s Church next door.
