Built in 2008, this Western, French-owned low-cost hotel offers 109 rooms with flat screen TVs, free wireless internet, private bathrooms with showers and hairdryer for incredibly low prices. A continental breakfast is also available and the cafés and bars of Old Riga are only a short tram ride away. Great value for money.

We stayed at the Dodo 11.7.08 - 13.07.08. The Hotel is fantastic value for Money - Very Clean and Modern.4**** Access to the Tram is very good however the Area is rundown, and whilst our party 10 Lads on a Stag Trip felt Ok, it may be a little unnerving for singles or couples, but we never ever felt threatened. Try out the bar around the corner from the hotel. Very Very Cheap Beer £1 pint and Good hospitality.Taxi to Town 7Lat/£9 Taxi To-From Airport 15Lat/£19 each way PLEASE BE WARNED - RIGA OLD TOWN IS VERY EXPENSIVE DONT BE FOOLED BY URBAN MYTHS ABOUT CHEAP PRICES. ON AVERAGE WE WERE PAYING 2.5 LAT A PINT AND A BOWL OF CHIPS COST 3 LAT -0.8/ LAT TO THE £ - IE £3 PINT / £4 BOWL CHIPS20Cigs 1.5Lat / £1.90 Steak and Chips with 2 Pints 26Lat /£31-00
