This vibrant hotspot is not another typical boring Riga techno club. In fact, it’s quite stylish offering a funky chill out room and several distinct areas on two levels which are all a part of the action surrounding the central dance floor. The music is fast-paced and progressive which is what you’d expect given the talented DJs it imports from around Europe each weekend.

I was at E club on saturday with a friend and had a great time at their white room jameson bar top floor. The DJ played great music and they had a saxofonist to join in on the music. A havannaclub with coca cost ls 3.- or ls 3 5?But when we left the club essential taxi was a ceater.We took a taxi from Club E to Studio69.The white taxi was standing outside E with Club Essential logo on it taxi number TX - 4949.This taxi actually charged 10LS for the trip on taxi meter it was 9 3ls.I have been a regular visitor to Riga for 8 years and not back in the times when ceating amoung taxis was common I have paid anything near ls9 3 for a ride inside old riga and sourroundings!A regular taxi of any type will cost less than ls3 and that is also what I think is minimum price for riga taxis.So avoid to take the club essential taxis stop the taxis in the street or take the walk over to Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija and save minimum 7ls E10.- for a walk of ca 100 metres. A good deal.
Drinks are expensive about £10 for 2 x vodka & dash but we did not see any fraud or dodgy dealings the staff were all friendly and helpful. There was a very clear price list and we got a receipt every time we bought a round. The entrance fee is nominal about 3-5 lats. The music is good the decor is tatty the dancefloor is sticky and the clientel are random and bizarre but it made for a very entertaining night out )
They took three times the price at the bar, and I had to pay 20 lats entry fee. Just glad I didn't got robbed. Not recommended!
i love riga clubs
One of my female friends was poisoned with GHB in Club Essential. We are sure of that because we didn't go to another place that night.We suspect the barman, because he told her that he didn't had any more wine, but he did have 'something else'. We are not sure what that was, but I'm sure it wasn't good...
I've been to Club Essential many times and every time I've been there its always been "off the chain". The guys on the door, and the club management has always treated me like a VIP and not a visitor. The women are like WOW!!!! I've been to a lot of cities in numerous countries and I have to admit that the women of Riga as the finest and most beautiful I've ever seen. I love Riga and will always find time to vacation and party there. Even though they haven't converted to the EURO and 1 dollar is about .50 LATs, I can't wait until my next visit. maybe I bring in New Year 2009 in Riga.

The was o.k. and the ladies very beautyfull.But the price for drinks was most expensive as in my hometown wich called double D-Town.
The doorman is a gorilla! Hi did not allowed me in, had to pay 20 lat to get in!! Even the price is just 5 lat. I was not drunk and was dressed smart casual!.... Not good at all.

the hole night life is really rotten and expensive
Very good place, but one of the doormen was too strict and didn't get me in without paying the entrance fee again, allthough I was only gone away from the club 20 seconds. (I was looking for my friend from the club's entrance). The doorman saw me the whole time and I'm sure he noticed, when I left for seconds, but maybe he wanted to be important.
