Mad House offers a scatter-brained interior of old movie posters, niches that look like retro living rooms and kitchens and even a portrait of old Lenin. Mixed drinks are delicious but will cost you dearly so you might want to stick with a local draught beer like Tērvetes. A full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu is available as well as a dance floor and a chill out room hidden in the depths of the cellar. Two for one happy hour from 17:00 - 19:00.

  Shitty personel. Cool interior but the rotten attitude from the anorectic little waitresses with short hair is just a joke. Got everything wrong with our order and after 50 min we walked out. Dont go. Simple as that.

  Not so good, security guys are mean - if you had a three drinks or so - think do you want to move arround, becouse they may kick you out without any explanation...

  pretty cool place most locals, wery nice drinks good mojito :), stylish place, alltough little pricey and i didnt had problems coming in a saturday night, got some looks from bouncers but just acted cool and had fun i would recomend it.

  I tried to reserve a table here for a Saturday evening and after a long pause the dodgy girl behind the bar asked for 25Ls! Just for a reservation! What a rip off. They do make a pretty decent Painkiller though, which is a drink that most bartenders in Latvia have never heard of. Then again, they forgot the nutmeg so screw 'em.

  My friend was not let in because he had a backpack - not a big one, just an ordinary every day pack. They had 3 bouncers at the entrance and i guess they had to justify their appearance there. I though it was stupid because the rest of us - 7 other potential customers with a lot of cash to spend didn't go in there without our friend. But it's ok, we went to Kalku Varti after that and had a great night! :)
