Located in a renovated 19th-century brewery on the edge of the city centre, this self-proclaimed sofa bar is hard to find and that’s the way the owners like it. Those in the know know that this is one of Riga’s hottest cocktail bars and many don’t mind queuing up at the weekend to sit on one of many couches that are each completely different in style from your grandma’s sofa to one you’d expect to see in your doctor’s waiting room. With two large terraces and a funky, eclectic interior, colourful, hip and laid-back Milk is hard to beat. That said, at the weekend only Latvians are usually allowed entrance.

If you want to make your contribution to a more tolerant world avoid this club bar. It is xenophobe.
Hello all,I'm from Spain and I couldn't get in because I was born in my sunny country. What would you think about the spanish people if they don't let you in because you are latvian?Probably it's a nice place.... but with stupid rules.(is this racism?)Anyway I loved Latvia and the people, but things like that makes me think to choose a different destination the next time.
The best place in riga so far. Go there if you want to meet really nice people from lithunia in an relaxed athmosphere and not the russian glamour-bitches rigas other places is full of. But avoid speaking loud english at the door. sometimes strikt face controll
Don't go if you are a foreigner or Latvian happens not to be your mother tongue - we were rudely refused entrance as foreigners despite our Latvian friends too.Pity this is the thing that is supposed to make a place trendy in Riga.
