Judging by the shabby interior and the dubious location in a blind Old Riga courtyard, it wouldn’t be too far fetched to expect to see some Barbary pirates hanging out here. This is Riga, however, so instead of men with eye patches swilling rum, you’re more likely to find students and other youngins dressed in black knocking back incredibly cheap mugs of Brālis beer (regular 0.80Ls, unfiltered 1.10Ls). There doesn’t seem to be much going on here during the day, but at the weekend you can watch local hard rock and metal acts screaming in the back room.
