Tucked away in a cellar at the far end of Tērbatas is Brālis, or Brother. Named after the amazingly cheap micro-brew that's served here, its leopard pattern booths and fake brick bar won’t win any awards, nor will its standard menu, but its simplicity and lack of pretension are also it strengths. Order a sour krout soup and a 1Ls beer and watch yesterday’s matches on Eurosport.

  A wonderfull local bar with some real interesting characters both sides of the bar. Good cheap beer and great company a welcome alternative to the usual Old Town haunts.

  Love Bralis Beer... probably the best beer in Latvia as it's natural and free from any preservatives... this ain't the only place they served it so I was cheering!!!!!
