This so-called public house has all of the trappings of an English pub, or at least what locals think one might look like, with wooden furniture and old-fashioned wallpaper, not to mention a fake fireplace and a few TVs showing sports. It offers loads of breakfast food from oatmeal and shrimp omelettes to the Queens special that includes pretty much everything you might want or expect from a classic fry-up. An extensive menu of expensive steaks is also available, but fish and chips and local sausage dishes are quite reasonable. Plenty of tasty, if a bit pricey foreign and domestic beers are poured at the central bar and female patrons will no doubt be interested to know that friends can sit next to one another in the ‘Ladies’ without the intrusion of a partition.
