If you’re a connoisseur of the finer things in life, namely good beer and whisky, than a trip to this bar is compulsory when in Riga. Over 20 craft brews flow from the taps and dozens more can be ordered in bottles while 70 different single malts tempt patrons from their overstocked shelves behind the bar. You can also order international fare from its small menu, watch some sports on the TV or admire large reproductions of Impressionist paintings hanging on the walls. A large summer terrace next to Doma laukums is also a big bonus and if you'd like to buy a drink or two for later, a shop selling the same beers and whiskies is available to the left.
Shop open 12:00 - 22:00.

...and with that also being said - I am happy to report that tonight (Tuesday December 20) the service was attentive punctual and punctual. I hold no reservations in recommending this bar. As previously the whisky selection is heavenly. I must note that the chap in the store is particularly helpful and attentive. Especially encouraging is their selection of Sierra Nevada beers. I anxiously await the return of the Benromach Peat Smoke Whisky.
..with that being said - I must say that the service the last time I was there (the evening of Saturday December 10) was shockingly poor. After waiting at the bar for about 15 minutes (wanting to pay the bill) we had the nerve to complain about service after which we were told to 'go somewhere else'. Considering the amount of money I have spent there this exceptionally poor customer service left me amazed. I would not return there unless both the bartenders working that night were sacked. Highest possible recommendation to avoid.
absolutely heavenly whisky selection. Food pretty good too. Not cheap by any means though.
